We've had a whirlwind of a day. We all dressed up as real and silly super heroes, had a mega talent contest sang the silly red nose day song for our parents and had a real laugh!!Best of all we raised £300 for Comic Relief!!Well done everyone!!!

Giddy Kippers Play centre
We're having a sponsored slide on Friday between 4 and 5pm; Nicola, Sammy Jo, Laura (9) and Gracie (7) will be seeing how many times they can fly down the slide in an hour. It's very bumpy so we're expecting to be in pain! We're also selling red nose cakes. Directions at www.giddy-kippers.com

We are having an 'I'm a celebrity theme' with a visit from Blackpool zoo's creepy crawlies and reptiles. Staff & pupils will be dressed for the jungle - bushtucker trials and star challenges will be taking place, and we're making and selling red nose cakes.

The Prinicipal and other tutors at Blackburn College are supporting Comic Relief by having their legs waxed from 11am on Friday 13th in the Beauty department

Batman and Robin
The Dynamic Duo will take a day off from crime fighting to drop by Blackburn market in their ‘Batmobile‘ as part of a raft of events during a day of fundraising for the charity event. Staff and most of the traders will be donning fancy dress and there’ll be a Mad Hatter’s tea party at most of the cafes around the market, courtesy of Sanderson’s Bakery – who’ve donated £100 worth of cakes. Shoppers are invited to turn up in ‘mad hats’ to join in a competition to find the maddest and win a Blackburn market shopping bag full of goodies. The Company of Fools will be teaching circus skills around the market and Blackburn People’s Choir will be performing. There will also be the opportunity to soak friends and enemies alike in the ‘wet stocks.’

Blackpool Politicians take to the stage
Councillors Gary and Ron Bell, Peter Evans, Granville Heap, Julian Mineur and Tony Lee will transform themselves into the village people for Comic Relief. The six Tories have adopted the name Il Consigliere - Italian for councillors, and will perform as part of Funny Girls in Blackpool on March 13th.

The Red Nose Limo hits Blackpool promenade
Check In, a Blackpool based transport agency, will be offering luxury rides to people of all ages, in their glamorous limousine up and down Blackpool promenade this Saturday all in the name of Comic Relief.They are dressing up their Stretch Lincoln Towncar Limousine in red noses for Comic Relief, inviting members of the public inside the luxury vehicle for a ride up and down the promenade to wave at passers-by. The car will be taking passengers from outside Ripley's Believe It or Not, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, running from 11am until 3pm every 10-15 minutes.Malcolm Humpage, Managing Director at Check In, said "we are happy to endorse such a great cause and get involved with the Blackpool community. I'm hoping our Red Nose Limo will raise as much money as possible. Let's hope the weather holds out for what promises to be a great day!"

Blackpool Zoo
On Friday 13th March, Blackpool Zoo’s taxi driver, Neil Holker, will be escaping from the attraction dressed in a gorilla outfit in aid of Comic Relief. Neil is planning to escape from the zoo at 9am and then set off in his taxi. He’ll be driving round in the Blackpool Zoo taxi all day picking up fares dressed as a gorilla. Children at theZoo’s A-Zoo Nursery are also seeing red - they have decorated the nursery with numerous Red Noses and bright red paintings.
