Up Close and PersonalYou are in: Derby > Up Close and Personal > Up Close and Personal ![]() Up Close and PersonalWould you like to make a short film for your community? Is there something you’d like to say but haven't been given the chance to share? Are your neighbourhood groups looking for someone to be trained in video skills? Now you have that opportunity, free, from BBC Radio Derby and the BBC Bus. The new Media project from the BBC Bus is aimed at creating new and insightful content for bbc.co.uk/derby, BBC Radio Derby and potentially BBC Local TV in Derbyshire, as well as giving communities in Derbyshire and East Staffordshire media literacy skills. Anyone, or any group, that would like to make a short film and audio story are given the tools, training and support to allow them to create them, and given the help to edit, so it's very much their story. There are no restrictions or agendas set by the BBC for this project. (Though, of course, you would have to work within legal broadcasting guidelines). ![]() Marsha Ramroop The BBC provides cameras and MP3 players to do the recording and - we have the software for the editting stage. This helps provide diverse content for BBC Derby and allows communities to have a greater voice and skills to articulate their stories and concerns.
