Sing along to the Alamosaurus rap
Sing along with the biggest name from Andy's Dino Island. The Alamosaurus is a giant in the world of dinosaurs and this track is HUGE!
What is an Alamosaurus?
Alamosaurus was one of the biggest dinosaurs of the Cretaceous period!
Where it lived: Alamosaurus roamed across southwestern North America.
When it lived: It lived during the latest part of the Cretaceous period (near the end of the dinosaurs’ age).
Dinosaur group: It belonged to the sauropods, a group of long-necked dinosaurs.
Record-breakers: Sauropods were the largest land animals ever to exist!
Super heavyweights: The biggest sauropods could weigh up to 50 tons – that’s about 10 African elephants! Only some baleen whales today are larger than these giant dinosaurs.
Diet: Alamosaurus was a herbivore, meaning it only ate plants. It had small, blunt teeth used for cropping and stripping leaves.
Special digestion system: Scientists found polished stones inside its ribcage, showing it likely had a gizzard (like some birds today). Instead of chewing, it used these stones to grind up tough plant material in its stomach.

MC Small Dino
Oh…like a Brachiosaurus ? Yeh? Right?
MC Big Dino
No, no, no he ain’t even related
He’s a Titanosaur, like his other relations
All Sauropods, been around for generations
Big guys like the big Dreadnoughtus
And the absolutely massive Argentinosaurus
So get ready, for HIM do the rapping
Put your hands together everybody start clapping
And make some noise cos he’s come here for us
Everybody big him up, it’s Alamosaurus!

It’s a real pleasure to be here, I appreciate the interest
Are you ready for the Alamosaurus rap?
Verse 1
I’m from the south of the USA
I lived a long time ago, but not today
My ancestors they loved exploring
Walking, wandering, eating and roaring
In South America their journey began
It took a long time and they didn’t have a plan
But they made it all the way to Texas and Utah
Legendary dinosaurs, that’s what we are
Chorus
Boom! Alamosaurus
I’m an Alamosaurus
He’s a heavy guy
I’m a heavy guy
Ala – Alamosaurus
Seriously wide, seriously high!
Boom! Boom!
Alamosaurus
He’s a heavy guy
I’m a heavy guy
Ala - Alamosaurus
Seriously wide, seriously high!
Verse 2
That’s right, I’m big, I’m wide, I’m tall
I’m one of the biggest Titanosaurs of all
I lived about 70 million years ago
It was called the Cretaceous period you know
Wanna know why I walk real, real slow?
If you were 50 tons then you’d probably know
My size means attackers find it hard to defeat me
Cos I’m too big for most predators to eat me
Chorus
Verse 3
Just greens in my diet, no ifs, no buts
My teeth are massive and I’ve got great guts
I swallow plants whole, I don’t even chew
I gulp them down and leave them to stew
My neck’s so long I got my head in the sky
Like a double decker bus staked up (two high)
(I’m 11 metres tall and 20 metres long)
But enough of the facts, let’s have a sing along!
Here we go…
Boo ya!
Chorus
Breakdown Chorus
Boom! Alamosaurus
I’m an Alamosaurus
He’s a heavy guy
I’m a heavy guy
Ala – Alamosaurus
Seriously wide, seriously high!
Boom! Boom!
Alamosaurus
He’s a heavy guy
I’m a heavy guy
Ala - Alamosaurus
Seriously wide, seriously high!
