Just as long as it’s swingin'

The fact that there is light in the sky at 5pm is only a small point. It’s never really been a big thing really but this winter, looking out of the studio windows during the 5 o’clock news this week has been a lovely thing. Progress! Better times! More cotton based fabrics! I know we are not exactly snowed in at the moment but the imminence of Spring is cheering the soul. Speaking of which…

Paul Carrack - one of our favourite singers - is singing for us today. What a voice this man has. As our caller on the rollover yesterday illustrated, Paul’s songs have had a special part in our list of favourites for some time. He has a new album Soul Shadows which you will love. He’s been Eric Clapton’s keyboard player and featured vocalist for a while now and that tells you everything about the respect with which Paul is held. I think he may well want to be paying tribute to his friend Glenn Frey too. So how about songs for the SOUL (whatever that might be).
