Don’t you love February Tuesdays? Particularly when they are cloudy? I know I do. Really gets the creative juices flowing. Well who knows what wonders are in store? Who knows what loveliness is just around the corner? Well here is one. Bonnie Raitt is with us, the multi-Grammy award winning Americana superstar. Actually it should probably read 'Americana, R&B, blues-rock veteran who’s 20th album will come blasting out of your speakers and get your weary bones moving’. How’s that? She has been recording and touring for decades but these new tunes are pretty blistering. This could be just what February needs ladies and gents of the blog. It’s a little early for ‘grooves’ and ‘licks’ but I’m tempted…

And it’s Groundhog Day today. Jour de la Marmotte as the Canadians have it. As celebrated in the movie of the same name, everyone waits to see what Punxsutawney Phil makes of the weather. If Phil emerges from his hide and says the Forth Road Bridge and Snake Pass are closed, then they'll remain shut all year (have I got that right Bobby?).
