Football teams from across the globe are converging on South Africa ahead of the World Cup, which begins on 11 June.

England's manager, Fabio Capello, has caused controversy by banning wives and girlfriends from staying overnight in the team hotel.

Argentinian players, on the other hand, will be permitted to have sex as long as it is not on match days.

Does sex interfere with performance on the pitch? Or can it bring dividends?
