Pro-independence supporters greet the UN security council on their visit to south Sudan

South Sudan is hosting visitors from the United Nations Security Council today.

The special envoys were welcomed by hundreds of people lining the streets of the southern capital Juba - where they touched down after a visit to Uganda.

They are there to shine the spotlight on Sudan, paying special attention to the south where a referendum on the future shape of the country is expected next year.

Our reporter Peter Martell was out and about to hear what the people of Juba expect from their visitors.
