Former Zambian defence minister jailed for bouncing cheque

A magistrate's court in Zambia's Copperbelt city of Ndola has sentenced the country's former defence minister, George Mpombo to 60 days in jail for issuing a $2,000 cheque on an insufficiently funded account.
The member of parliament was convicted last Friday.
