Video NationYou are in: Tyne > Video Nation > The tree inside ![]() Robbie says he prefers plants to people The tree insideBy Reuben Abraham Find out why Robbie, from Morpeth, loves gardening. Put Robbie, from Morpeth, in a classroom and he will, by his own admission, be as miserable as the wet weather outside the window. But place him in a garden and he beams up suddenly.
For a long time, Robbie was one of the quietest students in his class at his school. Until he found an advert on the notice board asking for volunteers to work in the school garden. That minor stint brought to the fore his knowledge in plants and his innate skill in tending them. Now, suddenly, gardening is a career option for young Robbie. And there's a new respect in the corridors of the school for the budding gardener. last updated: 09/09/2008 at 11:02 You are in: Tyne > Video Nation > The tree inside |
