Derry City are among 18 Eircom League clubs who have been granted licences for the coming season by Uefa. The Brandywell outfit are among 11 Premier Division outfits to receive the accreditation from the European football governing body.
FAI Cup winners Longford have not yet been granted a licence and now will have to win an appeal or be faced with the possibility of being relegated.
Shelbourne and Cork will now hope to also be given European licences.
Both will need European licences in order to play in the Champions League and the Uefa Cup next summer.
Clubs that failed to gain Uefa licences also may not be eligible for funding from the Irish Government.
Premier Licences: Bohemians, Bray Wanderers, Cork City, Derry City, Drogheda United, Finn Harps, Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne, St Patrick's Athletic, UCD and Waterford United.
First Division Licences: Athlone Town, Cobh Ramblers, Galway United, Kilkenny City, Limerick, Monaghan United and Sligo Rovers.
