There it is. The drop shots have been flying off Maja Chwalinska's racquet in this tournament and that one dies as it falls on the other side of the court, leaving Diana Shnaider with no hope.

It's not the only thing that's working for qualifier, though. A booming forehand winner pulls her level at 30-30.

I think Diana Shnaider is going to have watched a fair few of Maja Chwalinska's last couple of matches. Shnaider is already going for that moonball, which is not giving too much pace to her opponent.

Lots of Polish fans are starting to make themselves heard on Chatrier.

They clearly expected one of their players to be among the women's semi-finalists - four-time champion Iga Swiatek, not qualifier Maja Chwalinska.

The presence of the Poles will also have swelled the support for Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk earlier.
