Cardiff came into this fixture with a patched-up squad to face a Stormers side who were hunting URC top spot.

However, the Blue and Blacks have been formidable all season on home territory and made it 10 wins from 11 in the Welsh capital. Only struggling Scarlets have won here this season.

Barring a remarkable last day, Cardiff will go on their travels in the quarter-finals but they won't mind that after missing out on the top eight by a point last season.

Corniel van Zyl's side have ensured there will be Welsh representation in the URC play-offs.

Cardiff will be underdogs in the quarters, but they have the tenacity and spark to cause anybody problems, whether it is Glasgow, Stormers, Leinster or Bulls.

Well worth their victory tonight this Cardiff team.

They knew going into the game they needed a result and they frustrated Stormers all night.

Cardiff thoroughly deserved the victory and did exactly what they needed to do.

It's all over at Hive Stadium and Connacht have done what they needed to do in their bid to reach the top eight by delivering a bonus-point win.

The Irish side will be wanting updates from Belfast. An Ulster defeat would see them claim a top eight place...

Fair play to Cardiff, who at the Arms Park, just find a way.

The defence was amazing. It was phase after phase but they kept their discipline and when they had the ball, they were creative.

Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu knocks over a penalty with the last kick to earn a bonus point - that might end up being crucial in their battle for seedings.

Cardiff won't care about that - they have sealed a play-off berth with a bonus-point win at the Arms Park.

    Cardiff 22-13 Stormers

Stormers win a line-out penalty and will kick to the corner but it won't matter to Cardiff.

With 20 seconds to go they will claim victory, even if the South Africans go over.
