The worry for Wales is that the amount of tackles that they've had to make and the power that Ireland have.

That amount of tackles will take its toll.

The whole Ireland pack were so determined to score there, they were so powerful and looked after the ball with patience.

It's a shame for Wales because they've defended heroically but have invited pressure at the end of the half.

That is a nice boost to the home side's confidence right on the half-time whistle!

Scott Bemand will know that parts of his side's performance in the first half needs to improve after the restart, but they have scored three lovely tried and lead at the break.

That's a real hammer blow for Wales, they're still in the contest at half-time but the task just got that little bit harder.

    Brittany Hogan (O'Brien con)

Ireland's aggressive attacking approach to keep playing with the clock in the red pays off as Brittany Hogan dots down cleverly at the back of the ruck and Dannah O'Brien adds the extras.

Patient ball handling with some big carries from Ireland but even more patient defence from Wales wins them a ruck penalty on their own 22.

However, the clearance kick is poor and here come the hosts again.

You can never truly appreciate the physicality of the game when you're sat up in the stands but there are some monster carries and hits going in.

Wales clear their lines through Lleucu George after a good chase from Robyn O'Connor.

Wales turn over the lineout and go wide but, so far, Ireland's defence holds firm.

I am sure Beibhinn Parsons' eyes lit up when she got the ball from Aoife Wafer and noticed how much space she had.

Wafer scored the first try and that was a really nice move from her to set up the second.

That is a delightful try for Ireland.

Aoife Wafer with a gorgeous offload to Béibhinn Parsons and she didn't need a second invitation.

    Beibhinn Parsons

A super finish from Parsons out wide but that was all about Aoife Wafer. The big No. 8 picks off the back of the scrum and makes ground with a big fend before a stunning offload out the back to put her winger over.

Dannah O'Brien's conversion comes back off the post but Ireland lead again.
