Saracens have signed Tongan centre Sione Va'enuku from English Champ side Amptill.

Va'enuku, 26, initially began his career in rugby league with Australian side Sydney Roosters but switched codes when he moved to the UK.

Following a trial at Northampton Saints, he joined Amptill midway through the 2024-25 campaign but will now sign his first professional contract.

"I'm honoured to join such a historic club and excited for the opportunity ahead," he said.

"I'm looking forward to learning from the coaches and the quality players in the squad, especially the backs, and continuing to grow my game in this environment."
