Hull KR have got the better of Warrington Wolves in a replay of the 2025 final to get back to the Challenge Cup decider at Wembley.

It's at the national stadium that Willie Peters' Robins will face Wigan Warriors on Saturday, 30 May.

Wigan will be going for a double on the day, as the Warriors will be up against fierce local rivals St Helens in the women's final as well.

Warrington Wolves head Sam Burgess spoke to BBC Two about the captain's calls that impacted the game:

"I better be careful with what I say, because they don't like it when you tell the truth.

"But seriously, the captain's challenge I don't know if we were watching the same game. I don't know who the third referee was but I mean some of the calls, the inconclusive stuff, decisions are made wrong all the time but how long do they want to take?

"It's 10 past six and we kicked off at 4 o'clock. That's two hours and 10 minutes.

"Look, I'm disappointed with the result but it's all a mess and needs tidying up."

Warrington Wolves head Sam Burgess on BBC Two:

"We really didn't get into the game early on and didn't build any momentum.

"We will take plenty of lessons out of it. We went away from things that had been working for us, so it's disappointing to do that today.

"But I'm proud of our efforts, we never stopped trying - just now with our brains."

Hull KR coach Willie Peters told BBC Two:

"Very happy. I thought we did a lot of work in that first half. Warrington scrambled really well and they will have gone into half-time with a lot of confidence even though we were eight [points] in front.

"We had to build it again in the second half and I liked the patience that we showed.

"I thought we dominated that first half. I liked how we attacked that second half.

"We spoke about Wigan's performance yesterday before the game. All big games are won on defence."

On the relationship with the fans: "There's a proper connection. What we do is for these people. There's a lot of love, you can see it, you can feel it and the players thrive off it."

Hull KR captain Elliot Minchella told BBC Two:

"It was tough, they are a quality side. I thought we started well but they had a say toward the back end of the first half and really challenged us.

"But we backed out defence and we came away on the winning side. But it was a tough afternoon.

"We got over the line and look forward to going back to Wembley again."

Hull KR's Tyrone May, named of player of the match, told BBC Two moments after the full-time whistle:

"Yeah, feel good, obviously Challenge Cup is a bit different to Super League - it's do or die and we put in a good performance today.

"We had a bit of a rough patch in the first half but I'm glad we came home and we're on the way to Wembley again.

"Last year was outstanding but Wigan will be hard to stop."

That try from James Batchelor was the last significant moment of a game that Hull KR dominated for large parts.

The Robins are heading back to Wembley to try and defend the Challenge Cup they claimed last year.

They will be up against Wigan Warriors, who steamrolled their way into the decider on Saturday with their victory against St Helens.

We are into the final 10 minutes now.

At this rate it would take an fightback of epic proportions for Warrington to get to Wembley for a third successive Challenge Cup final.

Warrington are labouring to get out of their half at minute.

However, just as the left edge begins to open up for them a pass from Marc Sneyd is fumbled as Josh Thewlis and Kelepi Tanginoa get in the way of one another as they try receive it.

Hull KR are just 15 minutes from taking their Challenge Cup defence back to Wembley.

They are pressing for another try, and a searching kick on the last is plucked from the air by Joe Burgess.

Albert Hopoate didn't challenge in the air, and cleverly waited to take the winger down in the tackle.

Warrington regain the ball right on their line.
