    FT: Clare 1-19 Limerick 1-21

Clare's Shane O'Donnell, who is retiring after this game, on BBC Two NI: "First and foremost I'm disappointed with the result. We wanted to bring it and we did, but it's fine margins. I'm ultimately disappointed, never mind everything else during the week.

"There's no guarantees to win an All-Ireland. I've won two with this group and they have shown everything today. We have an incredible coaching team, so we are incredibly proud. The result is disappointing.

"I haven't thought too much about the next stage. My parents have been absolutely incredible."

We spoke about fine margins. There's just a never say die attitude with Limerick.

  4. 'A classic semi-final'published at 17:54 BST

    FT: Clare 1-19 Limerick 1-21

Player of the match Gearoid Hegarty on BBC Two NI: "It comes from many years of being herein similar positions. We have been in holes here before. You have to stay calm. You have to keep plugging away and that is the way it goes sometimes. Some of Clare's best-ever hurlers are on that team.

"It felt like a classic semi-final. It takes two teams to tango. It won't mean anything to Clare right now but they were involved in a classic semi-final."

The heat was on Limerick but how they responded.

They've been in sticky situations in the past and although it didn;t work out on the All-Ireland stage in the previous two years, they didn;t panic and found a way.

Cian Lynch was huge when he came on, winning a free and then popping out to Adam English whose delivery created the goal.

Clare will be gutted but just didn't grab the scores they needed to give themselves more of a cushion late.

What a game though, hat's off to both.

  7. 'It took an almighty effort'published at 17:51 BST

    FT: Clare 1-19 Limerick 1-21

Limerick manager John Kiely on BBC Two NI: "It has to go down to the players. There was a massive question asked of that group. Clare are one of those teams who are able to ask the question, they never go away and they put up a big question today.

"They bossed us in the first and it took an almighty effort. We weren't as slick as we would like to be, I have to give the players incredible recognition for their effort and composure."

The weight of the world is off their shoulders. I don't think that was Limerick's best performance, but their set up kept them in the game. It's where they want to be.
