Cape Verde hero 'convinced by team-mates not to retire'
A friend of Vozinha told BBC Radio 5 Live the Cape Verde goalkeeper's starring role in the World Cup game against Spain "couldn't have happened to a nicer person".
Joao Carlos Silva, who is on the board directory at Vozinha's former club Mindelense, said he didn't know what the goalkeeper had planned next despite him announcing his retirement before the tournament.
