Matheus Nunes is back on and actually looks fine to continue. Abdukodir Khusanov stands down. That was all a bit strange.

Matheus Nunes has gone down off the ball and looks to be in a bit of bother.

Abdukodir Khusanov is being readied quite quickly so this doesn't look great for Nunes.

City have slowed it down again, and it has given Southampton a chance to get back into their positions.

It is good defending, but I do feel Man City can get the ball forward into positions quicker.

    Man City 0-0 Southampton

For all their threat going forward Southampton haven't had a shot yet.

If that stays the same it will be the first time all season they have gone a full half without having a shot.

The Southampton fans are enquiring as to - shall we say - "what on earth was that?" following Tijjani Reijnders' attempted bicycle kick.

But it's not said in such polite terms.

The height Tijjani Reijnders has to get on that bicycle effort is incredible.

The ball comes into the back post and Tijjani Reijnders goes for the spectacular with an attempted bicycle kick.

Mateo Kovacic threads through for Omar Marmoush and he tries to beat Daniel Peretz at the near post can't squeeze it past the keeper.

A bit more zip there from City and that is what they need.

It is just a bit slow from Manchester City at the minute. Southampton are holding their shape well and there is no way through for City.

I think both teams are in the game, City have been the better side as you would expect, but Southampton are set up fantastically. This could definitely go either way if one of us could stay onside. I love Marmoush, but he's quite poor in everything other than his shooting.

This is turning into a real battle for Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's side haven't managed to find any rhythm in this contest so far.

The manager stands with his arms folded on the touchline, he won't be too pleased with what he has seen from his side so far.

A fantastic whipped ball in. It was crying out for someone in a yellow shirt to get on the end of it.

Southampton's bright spell continues as they win a free-kick and it's a glorious delivery but evades everyone in front of the Manchester City goal.

Southampton's gameplan is clear and so far it is working well.

They've defended really well. Tonda Eckert will be really pleased with what he's seen.

I wouldn't say they're struggling to get in the game. They've had 67% possession and recorded three shots to Southampton's zero.

Saints certainly look dangerous on the counter though.

Man City are still struggling to get into the game, but I think they will eventually get over the line and make the final.

Rayan Cherki picks up the ball from Phil Foden and sees his shot from just inside the box blocked. Foden perhaps could have had a crack at that himself.
