Hull City's return to the Premier League has been rewarded with an ambitious summer transfer window.

The Tigers have completed 11 new signings so far and have broken their own transfer record twice in the process:

• Lucas Gourna-Douath (RB Salzburg - undisclosed fee)
• Joe Gelhardt (Leeds - undisclosed fee)
• Konstantinos Tzolakis (Olympiacos - undisclosed but around £20m plus add-ons)
• Hidemasa Morita (Free agent)
• Lucas Herrington (Colorado Rapids - undisclosed fee)
• Jens Hjerto-Dahl (Tromso - undisclosed fee)
• Oscar Zambrano (Maribor - undisclosed fee)
• Nobel Mendy (Rayo Vallecano - undisclosed but a club record surpassing £20m)
• Jack Butland (Rangers - undisclosed fee)
• Matt Targett (Free agent)
• Elliot Stroud (Mjallby AIF - undisclosed fee)

And with the Premier League back up and running in less than a week, they don't appear to be slowing down.

Manager Sergej Jakirovic confirmed to BBC Radio Humberside on Saturday that the club are chasing deals for one of three potential right-backs, plus an additional striker.

So they are the main headlines involving some of the Premier League's big hitters, but what about the transfer stories elsewhere in the top flight?

Hull City, one of the division's newly promoted sides, have been very busy transforming their squad from Championship play-off winners into an outfit capable of competing in the Premier League.

We will soon find out how successful they have been.

The Tigers kick off at home to Manchester United on Saturday (12:30 BST).

The question is, can they repeat the recent success of Sunderland, Leeds and Nottingham Forest, who all made waves in the transfer market after being promoted to the Premier League...

It has been another intriguing day of transfer speculation in the Premier League.

He is just a more expensive Ibrahima Konate, someone we won't miss. Bradley Barcola adds some dynamism which we lacked under Arne Slot.

At first glance, Bradley Barcola looks like the natural successor to Luis Diaz.

Liverpool chose not to sign a direct replacement after the Colombian's departure last summer, but the underlying data suggests the Paris St-Germain forward could fill that void.

Opta's player similarity model rates the Frenchman as the winger whose output most closely resembled Diaz's across Europe's top five leagues in 2025-26 (78%), with Mohamed Salah (65%), Lamine Yamal (61%) and Vinicius Junior (61%) the next closest matches.

A closer look, however, suggests Liverpool would not simply be replacing one winger with another.

Barcola is a left winger by trade, having played almost all of his Champions League minutes for PSG on that flank, but his game is shaped by a centre-forward's instincts. He played as a striker until the age of 17, something reflected in his movement and shot selection.

Last season, he averaged 3.5 shots per 90 minutes in Ligue 1, placing him among the division's most active shooters despite operating from wide areas.

His 9.83 expected goals (xG) ranked in the 95th percentile among wingers across Europe's top five leagues, meaning only around 5% of wide players consistently found themselves in better goalscoring positions.

Barcola converted those chances into 11 league goals, outperforming his xG, while no PSG player or Ligue 1 winger recorded a higher xG total during the 2025-26 campaign.

Bradley Barcola is right footed, although he prefers to play on the left wing, but can also play on the right or through the middle.

However, with PSG also having Georgia's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and France's Desire Doue as wide options, Barcola does not play 90 minutes every match so a move to Anfield would give him more playing time.

With Mohamed Salah leaving on a free transfer at the end of last season having scored 257 goals in a hugely successful nine-year spell with the Reds, Liverpool clearly need to strengthen their attack.

France forward Hugo Ekitike ruptured his Achilles tendon in April and is not expected to play again in 2026, while Cody Gakpo, another who can play on the left and in the middle, has been linked with a move to Tottenham, although Liverpool say they do not want to sell.

The Reds' other current attacking options include 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha, Italy forward Federico Chiesa and new signing Victor Munoz.

Assuming Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola sticks with three forwards playing behind a central striker, where do you think Bradley Barcola would fit best, if Liverpool complete his signing from Paris St-Germain?

Paris St-Germain manager Luis Enrique refused to be drawn on the future of Bradley Barcola after the attacker was left out of the squad for Sunday night's Trophee des Champions defeat to Lens.

Enrique was questioned about the futures of Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, both linked with moves to Liverpool this summer, after they were omitted from PSG's 20-man squad for the match.

However, the Spaniard declined to discuss speculation surrounding the pair, saying: "I'll talk about the transfer window when it's closed. Not before and not after.

"Since it's almost over, I'll talk about everything."

Paris St-Germain have been strengthening their playing pool over the past week, with World Cup final match-winner Ferran Torres arriving from Barcelona and 21-year-old Belgian winger Mika Godts joining from Ajax.

Godts appears set to either provide Bradley Barcola with strong competition for a starting place or be a like-for-like replacement in Luis Enrique's squad should the France forward depart for Liverpool.

Liverpool target Bradley Barcola was left out of Paris St-Germain's squad as they were narrowly beaten by Lens in the French Super Cup.

Barcola has been linked with a move to Anfield this summer, with Liverpool reportedly prepared to pay the Champions League winners somewhere in the region of £100m for the 23-year-old.

The France forward, who has also been interesting Arsenal, was an unused substitute in his side's Super Cup win over Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Ayyoub Bouaddi would become the most expensive teenager in Premier League history, should Manchester City agree to meet Lille's reported 100m euro (£85.6m) valuation of the 18-year-old Morocco midfielder.

Manchester United paid an initial fee of £52.18m forFrance defender Leny Yoro, 18, also from Lille, in July 2024 in a deal that also included £6.73m in potential add-ons.

United were also involved in another bumper deal for a teenager, agreeing a deal that could rise up to £58m to sign France striker Anthony Martial, 19, from Monaco in September, 2015.

While Chelsea signed Belgium midfielder Romeo Lavia, 19, from Southampton for an initial £53m in September 2023 in a deal that was worth up to £58m.

However, those deals are dwarfed by the top five fees paid for teenagers in world football:

• £165.7m - Kylian Mbappe, 18, signs for PSG from Monaco in season-long loan with option to buy for 180m euros (2017-18)
• £120m - Yan Diomande, 19, signs for Real Madrid from RB Leipzig in deal worth up to 140m euros (2026-27)
• £115m - Jude Bellingham, 19, signs for Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund for initial fee of £88.5m, but total could rise to 133.9m euros with add-ons (2023-24)
• £113m - Joao Felix, 19, signs for Atletico Madrid from Benfica (2019-20)
• £76.5m - Matthijs de Ligt, 19, signs for Juventus from Ajax for initial fee of £67.5m but with a potential further £9m of additional costs (2019-20)

If he joins Manchester City, Ayyoub Bouaddi could become one of the most expensive teenagers in football history.

He would also be the latest big-money teenager to arrive in the Premier League, following in the footsteps of players such as Anthony Martial, Romeo Lavia and Leny Yoro.
