While the deadline closes at 23:00 BST, deals can actually be completed shortly after that deadline.

In order to do so, clubs must submit a deal sheet to the Premier League prior to 21:00 BST, allowing them an extra two hours after the deadline, with the Premier League's blessing, to complete a late move.

Once the window is closed, clubs then have to submit a squad list to the Premier League of players who will represent them.

While there is no official deadline that is made public, it is understood the deadline is about a week after the window closes.

Clubs cannot name squads of more than 25 players aged over 21. On top of that, the maximum amount of senior players allowed that are not classed as locally trained is 17.

Hull City

"Dear Hull City fans, get ready for 22:00 to 23:00. We are working on the last details.

"You know I love deadline days. It's going to be a deadline day roar."

Winger Jaden Philogene is due to stay at Ipswich.

Bologna, Roma and Benfica were among several clubs who held an interest in the 24-year-old, who helped Ipswich to promotion from the Championship last season, scoring 12 league goals.

But no move has progressed and he is expected to be involved in O'Neil's squad going forward, although Philogene had his pre-season interrupted by a hamstring injury and his yet to play in the Tractor Boys' opening three games.

Despite a possible transfer Philogene returned for pre-season focused and impressed those at Portman Road with his attitude.

Hull City

Hull City's Liam Millar has joined Championship side Birmingham City on loan until the end of the 2026-27 season.

He scored the winner on his final game for the club (for now anyway) in Saturday's 1-0 Premier League win at Coventry.

Millar played three times for Canada at the 2026 World Cup.

That's £47m in British money.

Camara is a 22-year-old Senegal international.

Everton have launched a late bid for Manchester United's outcast striker Joshua Zirkzee amid questions over their £40m move for AS Monaco's Folarin Balogun.

A report in France suggested Balogun had failed his medical, although the word at the Everton end is that the deal is still being worked on.

Everton will now be racing against the clock to seal a deal for the 25-year-old Netherlands striker, who saw proposed moves to Juventus and Fiorentina fall through.

Whether he is in addition to, or instead of, Balogun remains to be seen.

Crystal Palace have made a late enquiry for Strasbourg defender Ben Chilwell and lined up a move for Midtjylland winger Dario Osorio.

Chilwell joined the French side from Chelsea and it remains to be seen if he is open to returning to the Premier League.

The left-back spent a previous spell at Palace on loan in 2025.

Chile winger Osorio is Palace’s back-up to Lyon winger Malick Fofana, who is also wanted by Sunderland.

In a summer of highly-inflated transfer fees, value has become increasingly hard to determine.

Manchester City's £65m deal for Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye is a case in point.

On one hand, the Senegal international is a player of wonderful skill and deception, the quintessential entertainer able to get supporters out of their seats.

Everton fans may also point to recent moves in the Premier League involving City, such as the sale of Savio to Tottenham for an initial £75m, as further evidence that the club should have demanded more for Ndiaye.

On the other hand, Everton are effectively quadrupling the initial £16m they paid Marseille to sign Ndiaye two years ago for a player whose underlying numbers, at this stage at least, are not truly elite.

In the Premier League last season, Ndiaye was by far Everton's top dribbler, completing 46 more than any other Toffees player. But he only ranked joint third at Everton alone for goal contributions (9), with Beto (10) and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (12) ranking higher.

It is reasonable to assume that those numbers for Ndiaye will improve in a more attacking team at City but his general creativity is also middling.

He created 36 chances in total in the Premier League last season, ranking him fourth at Everton. Toffees midfielder James Garner created 26 more. Jack Grealish, whose season ended in January because of injury, created eight more.

Casting the net a little wider, 45 Premier League players have recorded more goal contributions than Ndiaye's 19 since he made his Everton debut two years ago.

As a 26-year-old set to be surrounded by better players, it would be no surprise should his numbers flourish at the Etihad.

But even in today's money, £65m for Ndiaye's current output may not be as questionable a deal as it sounds.

Fulham

"I’m also looking forward to experiencing the passion of the fans - and, in particular, our own supporters at Craven Cottage."

Am I certain he really said all of those words? Not really.

It's fair to say that Iliman Ndiaye's journey to Manchester City has been something of a scenic route.

It is a little over six years since he made his professional debut playing in the seventh tier of English football.

Ndiaye was playing Sunday League football while attempting to get into the first team of National League side Boreham Wood when he was invited for a one-week trial with Sheffield United at the age of 19.

Two trial games were enough for the then Premier League club to sign the talented teenager, although it would be another 18 months until he made an appearance for the Blades.

Instead, Ndiaye spent the second half of the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Hyde United in the Northern Premier Division, making six appearances in his very first taste of professional football.

He often risked missing the last train back to Sheffield to stay out on the training pitch.

After returning to Bramall Lane, Ndiaye made his Premier League debut in March 2021 but it would be another three and a half years until he became established at the highest level following the Blades' relegation.

Two seasons in the Championship culminated in Ndiaye spearheading United's return to the top flight in 2023 with 14 goals in 43 starts but he was then sold to Marseille that summer.

Ndiaye then struggled during one campaign in France before joining Everton for an initial £16m in July 2024.

A firm fan favourite on Merseyside, "Skiliman" scored 15 goals and provided four assists in 67 Premier League games for the Toffees.

Completing the journey from non-league to the Champions League is only a matter of time.

Manchester City

Shall we see what Iliman Ndiaye has to say about that move across the North West?

That signing means we have now surpassed the all-time Premier League summer spending record.

We have been £13m away for a good few hours but confirmation of Iliman Ndiaye's £65m move to Manchester City means the previous record of £3.14bn has now been passed.

That's a lot of cash.

Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye from Everton in a deal worth up to £65m.

The agreement is worth £60m plus a further £5m in add-ons.

A report in France had suggested Everton's £40m move for AS Monaco striker Folarin Balogun was off after the striker failed his medical.

The current information at the Everton end, however, is that the Balogun deal is still being worked on as the deadline approaches - but they really need this deal to get over the line with Beto having left for Fiorentina and Iliman Ndiaye on his way to Manchester City.
