We wondered what Koumas would add to this team. I think we saw it with that press and that stifled Portugal in the opening 15 minutes.

The goal came at the bad time for Wales and knocked them a little bit.

I think Wales have to stop the crosses more. They can't afford to concede next.

Wales' home games in this Nations League campaign will take place at their regular Cardiff City Stadium base.

But FootballAssociation of Wales chief executive Noel Mooney suggested this week that he wants Wrexham's Racecourse stadium to host more internationals once the new Kop stand has been completed.

"We're talking to the club a lot about how we can use the stadium more but for sure, we'd love to play more internationals there," Mooney said.

I think Wales should drop off a little, concede possession, get our breath back, get in shape and be hard to beat.

That will then allow Brennan Johnson, David Brooks, Lewis Koumas to run because we've got the players to do it.

It's difficult in this heat when you come here right from the get-go to press, it could be a real problem after 60 minutes.

The mere mention of Euro 2016 brings a smile to Welsh faces, doesn't it?

I think Lewis Koumas has been a real bright spark for Wales.

He has played with no fear, like he's playing a schoolyard game with his mates.

I'd like to see a bit more from a couple of Welsh players.

Brennan Johnson has been quiet, David Brooks has been quiet, but they are up against great players.

Portugal created more chances, they forced more corners, free-kicks. As the game went on Portugal have really got on top of Wales.

I actually thought it was really positive from Wales at the beginning.

They were pressing up high and winning the ball. That's the time where you need to go 1-0 up, but then Portugal came back into the game with their possession and breaking the lines.

There are some really positive signs there, of course you are not going to keep Portugal out the whole half, but there are moments there that make you think we've got a chance here.

The Portugal fans give their players a great reception as they make the way off the pitch.

There hasn't been much for Wales fans to cheer, but they seem to be having a cracking time nonetheless.

The options the two sides have on the bench are contrasting to say the least.

This will likely get harder and harder for Wales as the game goes on.

Once again Jay Dasilva does some great work defensively just before half-time.

He saw the danger and chose his spot in the penalty area.

Not a moment of added time in the first half and Wales head for the dressing room at 1-0 down.

Wales have offered very little going forward, with Portugal managing 13 shots to their opponents' one.

Having said that, the hosts have not created a raft of clear-cut chances.

All things considered, Craig Bellamy has to be reasonably happy, doesn't he?

Wales work hard defensively once more but then give the ball away too easily.

Renato Veiga is in the action again.

The big centre-back tries a shot from distance which sails into the crowd.

Cristiano Ronaldo did not look especially impressed with that.

Pedro Neto finds a bit of space and tries a stepover as he drives into the box, but Jay Dasilva makes a good tackle.

The pitch is not the best.

Ronaldo had to really concentrate there instead of putting his foot through it because he's not sure where it's going to bobble to.

There is a roar from the crowd at the opportunity for Cristiano Ronaldo, you can tell what they've come to see.

As we mention his name, the ball is worked to Cristiano Ronaldo in the box but his shot is not clean and Danny Ward saves comfortably.

By the way, Gareth Bale is four years younger than Cristiano Ronaldo.

He was seen kicking a ball this week - but it was on his social media and on a beach.
