    Celtic 1-0 Dunfermline Athletic

Celtic winger Yang Hyun-jun puts a shot from a tight angle into the side of the net.

It was great hold-up play by Arne Engels to lay it to Yang in the box. Offside flag goes up anyway.

Dunfermline need to be careful here.

It's a great finish. Really good movement, really good pass from Alistair Johnston.

I really feel for young John Tod. He should've cut it out. He'll be gutted at that.

The first goal in this game was always going to be absolutely crucial, particularly if it went to Celtic.

Yet another moment of magic from Daizen Maeda.

If this is to be his swansong, then what a send-off he's making it.

Former Scotland forward on BBC One

We give him praise for how hard he works, the speed. He doesn't often get praise for his composure, that he's been showing of late.

John Tod just gets caught under it but what an exquisite finish from Daizen Maeda. No panic, pure composure. The finish is sublime.

    It's him again!

What a wonderful ball from deep from Alistair Johnston.

Maeda profits as John Tod misses his clearance, and he lobs Aston Oxborough who is helpless in the Pars' goal.

It's Maeda's ninth goal in his last seven games. Will it be his last for Celtic?

As has become the norm, Martin O'Neill is now back in his beloved adidas Originals tracksuit.

Suited and booted for the walkout, comfy and casual for the dugout.

It must be said, Neil Lennon is also cutting about in a more relaxed get-up than he was before.

Kieran Tierney overhits a cross after some nice footwork by Yang hyun-jun.

Dunfermline are not seeing much of the ball, but they are defending well so far.

Well, as openings to cup finals go, this has been pretty eventful.

Celtic - and Daizen Maeda in particular - will feel they could have had a penalty.

While only a great run back to clear the ball off the line by Liam Scales prevented the Pars from taking the lead.

They're in no way overawed by this, Dunfermline.

Good stuff at Hampden so far.

    Celtic 0-0 Dunfermline Athletic

Celtic work it well down the right-hand side.

Benjamin Nygren gets into the box, and probably should cut it to the edge of the area.

In the end his pass is blocked.

It's just a long, hopeful ball.

Initially I thought it was more Sinisalo, but Alistair Johnston has to deal with that much better.

Liam Scales is alert to go and snuff out the danger.

Morrison just got his toe to it. Any more on that toe poke and it was in the back of the net, which would've been an incredible start by Dunfermline.

Oh my word. How have Dunfermline not scored?!

Callumn Morrison challenges Alistair Johnston, and gets a toe on the ball.

Viljami Sinisalo is well off his line and the ball goes past him and is heading for the net.

Liam Scales gets back and clears off the line.

VAR Matthew MacDermid has had a look and felt referee Steven McLean got the decision correct.

John Tod doesn't make much contact with Daizen Maeda. But he'll need to be so wary of the Celtic striker.

    They've made a decent start.
