  3. Reedijk left with 'sick feeling'published at 18:01 BST 17 October

    FT: Hibernian 1-2 Falkirk

Hibernian manager Marink Reedijk tells BBC Scotland: "The summary is individual mistakes. They scored two goals from our individual mistakes.

"We scored a good goal ourselves and had moments to score again but didn't. The game changes if you do so because then Easter Road is behind us, but this didn't happen.

"What I have seen today is a step forward compared to Dundee [United]. That sounds strange, but that is really what I think.

"We took control of the whole match and had some good opportunities, but then we have to score these.

"Yet we keep on stepping forward, we keep on showing that we are brave."

As for being at the bottom of the table, he adds: "It's something I don't want. I also think that, based on the match today, we don't deserve it.

"I'm therefore positive but with a sick feeling in my stomach."

  4. McGlynn hails scorer Murrellpublished at 17:57 BST 17 October

    FT: Hibernian 1-2 Falkirk

Falkirk manager John McGlynn tells BBC Scotland: "I'm delighted. So proud of the players.

"They put in a shift and we had to do exactly that. Delighted for Jacob Murrell, two goals, two great strikes.

"He's a great lad first and foremost. He's a great boy, wants to learn, listens. He's powerful, strong, can run in behind the defence and you saw how cleanly he hit the ball today.

"Last week he stepped up for the penalty, no ifs or buts, and put that away. I'm not putting a price on him as he's only just got here, but if he continues like that, I've no doubt he'll create some interest.

"We had to work our socks off. Hibs were well organised. They had a lot of the ball to be fair, which meant we had to work so hard without the ball."

  5. Robinson pleased with second-half showingpublished at 17:55 BST 17 October

    FT: Aberdeen 3-1 St Mirren

Aberdeen manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "We had to dig deep for it.

"We started really well with a great goal and then we sat back and were way too cautious and played with little bit of fear. Credit to St Mirren, they played some really good stuff.

"In the second half, we were very, very good. Showed real bravery and we could have had more goals as well. We had numerous chances when we were through on goal and didn't take them.

"You go in at half time a little bit disappointed and you get a reaction - they either hide or they come out and fight and show their quality and they certainly did that second half.

"I think we've lost one in six now, so we have positivity in the camp and there's belief in the staff and the players."

Meanwhile, third-top Elgin lost ground after being held to a goalless draw at home to Edinburgh.

  8. Rampant Ross County stay toppublished at 17:45 BST 17 October

    Scottish League 1

Ross County have now scored 38 goals in their first 10 games back in the third tier after their 7-1 thrashing of hosts Queen of the South.

That ensures they will stay on top on goal difference even if Hamilton beat Airdrieonians win the game just kicked off and being shown live on BBC Alba.

Third-top East Kilbride slipped further behind after their draw at home to Montrose.

East Fife began life without sacked manager Dick Campbell with a humbling 3-0 defeat at home to Alloa and have now gone nine games without a win.

Cove are now three points behind the Fifers at the foot of the table after drawing their derby away to Peterhead.

  9. 'We beat ourselves' - McLeishpublished at 17:39 BST 17 October

    FT: Aberdeen 3-1 St Mirren

St Mirren manager Craig McLeish tells BBC Scotland: "I feel like we beat ourselves. A minute into the game and we're a goal down. Conceding goals at the start again and giving ourselves a mountain to climb.

"We were excellent first half after that and should probably score at least another one, but our response to going down early was excellent.

"We knew they would get a blast at half-time and change a couple of things. The first 15 minutes of the second half we didn't stand up to their change in intensity and aggression.

"It's a poor penalty to give away - I think that's six penalties in the last nine games. And, at this level, you can't give teams goals. Aberdeen win the game, but we beat ourselves."

  10. Goodwin laments errors for missed opportunitypublished at 17:36 BST 17 October

FT: St Johnstone 1-1 Dundee United

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "I didn’t think there was a great deal in the first half. St Johnstone get their noses in front and it’s a really poor goal from our point of view regarding our decision making.

"We were relatively calm in terms of the play, we just needed to speed the game up. We allowed St Johnstone to get their shape back behind the ball.

"These are the challenges we are going to face through the course of the season. This is why we’ve done the recruitment that we’ve done.

"These players are more than capable of unlocking that low block, but the goal we concede is avoidable. It was a combination of errors from us, but great resilience from the players to respond and come from a goal behind and second half we had complete control. On another day, I think we would have won the game."

  11. Fowler off due to illness, not injurypublished at 17:34 BST 17 October

FT: St Johnstone 1-1 Dundee United

St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari tells BBC Scotland: “It was a good football match. United had their moments and played some good football - it was difficult to get close to them, they have players that are in good places, but at the same time we had our moments.

“The goal we scored was a beautiful goal and it changed the game a little bit, so it was a question of whether we could hold until the end.

"It’s difficult to defend to 90 minutes. What we can now improve is these moments when we are 1-0 up, how do we put more pressure on and be more ruthless to get the second goal?"

As for top scorer Josh Fowler's substitution, the Finn added: "There is a big flu going around, he ran his chest out so he needed his rest and that’s all it was."

  12. Delighted McCann 'not getting carried away'published at 17:31 BST 17 October

    FT: Kilmarnock 3-2 Motherwell

Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann tells BBC Scotland: "I'm delighted to come out on the right side of the result.

"It promised a good game of football. I did say I'd take a 1-0, but I'm really happy to take a 3-2. I thought there was a lot to like about the performance.

"It's not an enjoyable job sometimes, but there's so much to like about it now. We adjusted a few things at half time and I thought in the second half we completely deserved our win.

"We had so many other opportunities. We don't have to kill everybody through the middle and I think we were guilty of that at times in the first half, so we changed at half-time and tried to get the ball out wide.

"At times, we had to dig in because Motherwell are a dangerous side, but I'm pleased we're off the back of a home win. It's tightened things up, but I'm not getting too carried away."

    Scottish Championship

Surprise guys Stenhousemuir remain top of the second tier after a draw that moves Raith Rovers above Partick Thistle into second spot on goal difference, albeit the Glasgow side have a game in hand over both.

Dunfermline remain unbeaten in six games but again fail to make home advantage pay after a draw with Livingston that allows Caley Thistle to leapfrog both into fourth after their win over Arbroath.

Morton are off the bottom, overtaking Queen's Park on goal difference after a win over the Glasgow visitors - only a week after their first victory of the season.

  15. Johansson 'can't accept' manner of defeatpublished at 17:18 BST 17 October

    FT: Kilmarnock 3-2 Motherwell

Motherwell manager Alfred Johansson tells BBC Scotland: "I think we ended this game in an unacceptable way.

"It's difficult to accept the fact that we lost this match. We did so many good things in this game.

"We reacted fantastically to conceding so early. After that, I saw a Motherwell team that created big chances, pressed together, scored two goals.

"At half-time, we knew they would try to be more direct and that was something we needed to handle. We managed the start to the second half alright, but we conceded two unacceptable goals.

"Even if we created more chances to score today, we can't rely on scoring three goals away from home to take points and victories. It's something we need to improve.

"It's basics that we're failing and that's not enough. We're not going to change thinking, we're going to improve. Whether that's personnel or on the pitch, it's probably both."

FT: St Johnstone 1-1 Dundee United

McDiarmid Park is proving a tough place to go on St Johnstone's return to the top flight.

Today's 1-1 draw means they've only lost once in five home matches in the Premiership this season - and that was a narrow 1-0 loss to champions Celtic at the start of September.

  19. Hibs' wretched home run continuespublished at 17:04 BST 17 October

    FT: Hibernian 1-2 Falkirk

Different manager, same old problem for Hibs: they can't win at home in the Premiership.

That's seven consecutive top-flight defeats at Easter Road: three at the end of last season, four at the beginning of this.

The last time they won at home in the league was way back on 4 April, when they defeated Kilmarnock 3-0.

The question for Hibs and their fans now is this: rooted to the bottom of the table, are they now in a fight to avoid relegation?
