Czech Republic have to be a lot better in the final third.

It's a big game for both teams.

I know both teams would probably take a point but three points is a must.

The match bursts into life. Son Heung-min gets away from his man with a step-over and then shifts the ball out wide.

He screams for it to be returned to him in the box and a pass does come, but it's slightly ahead of him and he can't meet it on the slide.

Jaroslav Zeleny has been really good for Czech Republic, he is getting forward and causing a lot of problems down that left-hand side.

    And we're good to resume.

Two minutes until the break. We've only had one shot on target so far.

Mini beak in play as Lee Tae-seok lands awkwardly after going up for a header with Lukas Provod.

    South Korea 0-0 Czech Republic

Alexandr Sojka wins Czech Republic a wide free-kick but that's headed clear. South Korea then hack away a flurry of crosses into the box.

You want to see Son Heung-Min in those dangerous areas but he is always leaning back and it is always going over the crossbar.

Now this is a proper chance! Son Heung-min goes on a mazy run and cuts the ball onto his left on the edge of the box but bends his effort narrowly wide of the far corner.

    South Korea are getting closer.

Half-chance for Czech Republic but Patrick Schick's header is too tame and off target.

I couldn't have picked a better time of year to have a one month old baby and be taking paternity leave until August. Baby Sebastian and I are going to have a great time during the night feeds!

Just thinking while it's quiet....Given those of us neutrals in the UK have woken up early/stayed up late, what would be a suitable scoreline to justify watching a 3am match?

Obviously you wouldn't want a 0-0, but would you take a 1-1 at this stage?

  14. Postpublished at 34 mins

    South Korea 0-0 Czech Republic

Almost! Son Heung-min nearly gets in behind but his one-two with Lee Jae-Sung is just about cut out.

  15. 'Can't keep chasing the ball'published at 03:33 BST

    South Korea 0-0 Czech Republic

Czech Republic have not showed enough quality.

Just poor and giving the ball away in needless areas at the moment.

They will get punished if they don't get better possession and in this heat you can't keep chasing the ball because eventually you will get opened up and South Korea will score.

So my earlier 4-4 prediction isn't looking likely then, Paul?

Stayed up to watch this and while there’s plenty of hard work being put in from both teams there isn’t much quality at all. These two will struggle for goals. Can see that already.

So, Czech Republic are getting on the ball a bit more. Both teams are still working each other out.

It's watchable, but we could do with a few more chances!

Great stuff from South Korea's Hwang In-beom who gets beyond Jaroslav Zeleny with a Maradona turn in midfield. That gets a big cheer.

  20. 'Get Schick into the game'published at 03:27 BST

    South Korea 0-0 Czech Republic

Lee Kang-In and Son Heung-Min have been the two players who look most likely to score the first goal for South Korea.

Now Czech Republic have come into it slowly but surely just before the drinks break but they need to get Patrik Schick into the game.

Give him the service that he needs, he's not going to come deep and collect the ball, he needs crosses into the box and they started to do that in the last five minutes.
