On the front foot and we expected that.
It was a really good cross to the back post, cleared everyone. There's Donovan high up the pitch coming in and he gets a really good contact, good header and Pandur making the save to keeper Rangers 1-0 up.

Rangers are winning every first contact, every second contact and every loose ball.
McCowan and Baur have really struggled in the middle of the pitch.
From Derek McInnes' perspective, it's more of the same in the second half. His real question is whether Fernadnez can stay on the pitch much longer. He's one foul away from being sent off.

I think Martin O'Neill might go with Kasper Hogh up front only because Fernandez has been booked. That just allows him to get a little bit more strength up there.
The only thing with Hogh is he doesn't run beyond, which Camilo Duran does.
Celtic need to get back into this very quickly.

I wonder how much longer Luke McCowan might be on the field, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain doing a fair bit of warming up in the final few minutes of the half.
Camilo Duran was often a lonely figure up top - another option for the home boss would be to bring on Kasper Hogh to give him some support.

I don't think they're undeserving of the lead.
Celtic started the better team. Rangers tried to get a foothold. Celtic played quite well in the first half until that goal happened.
The goal comes from sloppy play from Celtic. Three mistakes in one opportunity. Rangers took the opportunity.

Celtic can't defend free-kicks and corners. Looks like Celtic have blown themselves out in the first half hour again, then turn backwards. Ralston should replace Donovan. Scales should never have played.

Some boos ring around Celtic Park. The home side are facing a second straight loss to their rivals.
Ryan Naderi's close-range finish is the difference. Celtic came out strongly at the start of the game, but have managed just one shot - Kieran Tierney's off the bar.
Djeidi Gassama almost made it 2-0 to Rangers but his dink also came off the frame of the goal.
All to play for, but it's the blue half of Glasgow who are the happier right now.

Celtic’s 3-1 win over Rangers in May ended a six-game winless run in league Old Firm derbies (D3 L3). The Hoops have won six of their last eight home games against Rangers in the Scottish Premiership (L2).
Rangers beat Celtic 3-0 in the Scottish League Cup last weekend. Only twice before in the club’s entire history have they faced their Old Firm rivals twice in a row in all competitions and won both times, doing so in September 1960 under Scot Symon and April 1998 under Walter Smith.
Celtic are looking to win 14+ consecutive league matches for the first time since March 2017 under Brendan Rodgers (22), a run which ended via a 1-1 home draw with Rangers.
Celtic have won each of their last 13 league games, their longest winning run coming into a league Old Firm derby since March 2017 (22 in a row). The Hoops have only won two of the six previous occasions they have faced Rangers in the league while on a 13+ game league winning run (D1 L3).
Rangers have scored seven goals from 128 shots in the Scottish Premiership this season, a conversion rate of 5.5% - the lowest of any side in the division in 2026-27.
After Rangers’ 3-0 win in the Scottish League Cup last time out, Derek McInnes could become only the second manager to win both of his first two Old Firm derbies against Celtic in charge of the club, after Graeme Souness in 1986.
Rangers have used more players (26) and made the joint-most starting XI changes (18) of any side in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Five of Celtic’s six home league goals this season have come in the first half of matches, with their only second half strike at Celtic Park coming from Benjamin Nygren v Dundee on MD1.
