  2. CLOSE!published at 20:07 BST

    Watford 0-1 Preston

A huge chance to make it two for the visitors.

They break from a Watford corner with Alfie Devine setting Johnny Kenny away. His cross is perfectly delivered for Callum Lang in the middle, but Federico Ravaglia keeps it out.

Should Lang have done better there?

  3. 'Interested to see how Nuno gets front two firing'published at 20:06 BST

    Bolton 0-0 West Ham

    Phil Brown
Former Bolton player and assistant manager on BBC Radio Manchester

I asked so many people when I was doing my research for this game, what formation do West Ham play?

Everyone was telling me it is an old fashioned 4-4-2, I am so interested to see how Nuno gets those front two firing.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:05 BST

    Wrexham 0-0 Burnley

    Max Weiss keeps Burnley level.

Kieffer Moore is on the end of a cross and the Burnley goalkeeper shows brilliant reflexes to tip the header over.

Wrexham are just beginning to crank it up.

    Wrexham 0-0 Burnley

    Waynne Phillips
Former Wrexham midfielder on BBC Radio Wales

It has been an okay start, it hasn't been the blistering start that I hoped for. I was hoping Wrexham would get the crowd up really early.

  7. Swansea fans silenced by rare goal againstpublished at 20:03 BST

    Southampton 1-0 Swansea

    Ian Hunt
BBC Sport Wales at St Mary's Stadium

So you can score against Swansea after all!

Finn Azaz's opener for Southampton is the first goal Swans have conceded since falling behind at Stoke in their opening game of the season on 15 August.

Vitor Matos' men had then kept four successive clean sheets in their surge to the top of the Championship.

  8. Postpublished at 20:02 BST

    Bolton 0-0 West Ham

Bolton get a free-kick in shooting position inside the first 30 seconds but it comes to little - Samuel Iling-Junior's effort was on target but never had enough power to trouble Mads Hermansen.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:01 BST

    Wrexham 0-0 Burnley

Issa Kabore gets away down the right for Wrexham and then plays the ball past a defender and goes down.

Not sure why he threw himself to the ground because he could have continued his run and referee Tim Robinson agrees - yellow card for the Wrexham man for simulation.

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:00 BST

    Bolton 0-0 West Ham

Two famous old football clubs get their match under way and all six of tonight's Championship games have now begun.

    Wrexham 0-0 Burnley

    Waynne Phillips

Football has become a squad game and Phil Parkinson does that so well, using his whole squad. It has become a real strength of this Wrexham side.

  12. Club icons rememberedpublished at 20:00 BST

    Cardiff 0-0 Stoke

    Chris Wathan
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

    Cardiff City matchday programme

The initial noise is coming from the 800 or so Stoke fans who've made the trip in the search for a third win in a row to put the Potters' sticky start to the season well and truly behind them.

The home fans a little subdued but still supportive as they hope for a first win since returning to the Championship.

Perhaps Brian Barry-Murphy's side can take inspiration from two club icons being remembered tonight.

Cardiff's matchday programme - which has a comic book theme for its covers this season - has a touching tribute to promotion winning fan favourite Sol Bamba who died two years ago last week aged 39, and the much-missed Peter Whittingham on what would have been his 42nd birthday.

    Classy gesture.

  13. Postpublished at 19:59 BST

    Southampton 1-0 Swansea

    Suddenly it is all Southampton.

They come marauding down the Swansea left and visiting skipper Ben Cabango is forced into a hurried clearance for a corner.

Cyle Larin has two stabs at it at the far post with his first header saved and the second effort lifted over the bar with his right foot.

  14. Postpublished at 19:59 BST

    Blackburn 0-0 Sheff Utd

Blackburn are enjoying a spell on the ball without doing a huge amount with it.

One low cross from the right by Ryan Alebiosu was comfortably cut out by the Blades' defence.

  15. 'Open start to the game'published at 19:57 BST

    Wrexham 0-0 Burnley

    Waynne Phillips
Former Wrexham midfielder on BBC Radio Wales

It has been a really open start. If Burnley had more quality, Wrexham would have been in trouble. The chances are falling for both sides.

  16. goal

GOAL: Southampton 1-0 Swanseapublished at 19:54 BST

    Finn Azaz (9 mins)

He's missed one very good chance, but not this one...

Flynn Downes plays the ball inside to Finn Azaz whose first touch gets him into the 18-yard area and his second finds the bottom corner.

The first goal the leaders have conceded in 449 minutes.

  17. Postpublished at 19:54 BST

    Wrexham 0-0 Burnley

Ugo Raghouber plays a wonderful ball over the top for Largie Ramazani.

The first touch from the Burnley forward is decent but he then loses his way and is crowded out before he can get a shot on goal.

  19. Postpublished at 19:51 BST

    Wrexham 0-0 Burnley

    An early chance for Wrexham.

Issa Kabore heads a cross back from where it came and Callum Doyle nods tamely into the hands of Max Weiss.

  20. Postpublished at 19:51 BST

    Blackburn 0-0 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United have been on the front foot in the opening few minutes and Sam McCallum's long throws look like being a real weapon for the Blades.

He's already hurled a couple in towards the penalty spot but nobody in luminous yellow has been able to make a decisive touch.
