  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:10 BST

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Sheff Wed

Jarvis Thornton can't play on for Wednesday and it means 17-year-old William Grainger comes on for his fourth appearance for the side.

  2. goal

GOAL: Charlton 1-2 Ipswichpublished at 21:09 BST

Jaden Philogene (58 mins - pen)

Ipswich back up to second place.

Charlton are not safe now, Oxford get a reprieve for the moment.

Jaden Philogene's penalty goes under the body of goalkeeper Will Mannion - lucky but they all count.

  3. PENALTYpublished at 21:08 BST

    Charlton 1-1 Ipswich

Down goes Darnell Furlong under a Macualay Gillesphey challenge and Ipswich have a penalty.

  4. Postpublished at 21:08 BST

    Sheff Utd 1-3 Blackburn

Tom Cannon tests Balazs Toth with a shot.

Another goal for Sheffield United might give Blackburn a few worries.

Only a win saves Rovers tonight.

  5. Postpublished at 21:04 BST

    Birmingham 2-1 Preston

Milutin Osmajic has been quiet this evening with nothing really coming his way but finally he gets stuck in.

Andrija Vukcevic feeds his Montengro and North End team-mate with a perfect cross, allowing Osmajic the chance to get a good head on it but Blues keeper James Beadle does well to deny a goal.

North End looking much better this half. Birmingham might need to be careful here.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:03 BST

    Sheff Utd 1-3 Blackburn

Gus Hamer takes down Ryoya Morishita and earns himself a caution just moments after that Harrison Burrows goal for the home side.

  7. Postpublished at 21:01 BST

    Birmingham 2-1 Preston

A huge opportunity falls to Adam Devine as he intercepts a readable pass form Blues to drive into free space towards goal.

He gets all the way from the halfway line to the box but he doesn't shoot nor set up a team-mate in time before Christoph Klarer is on his back and blocking out his options.

  8. goal

GOAL: Sheff Utd 1-3 Blackburnpublished at 21:00 BST

    Harrison Burrows (57 mins)

    Surely just a consolation?

Tom Cannon finds Harrison Burrows and he finishes neatly.

Blackburn do not want to be making this interesting.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:58 BST

    Sheff Utd 0-3 Blackburn

A bit of dissent from Blackburn's Ryoya Morishita earns him a yellow card to go with his assist and goal this evening.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:57 BST

    Charlton 1-1 Ipswich

We are about 10 minutes behind the rest of the games at The Valley.

Charlton have brought on Lyndon Dykes for Tyreece Campbell at the start of the second 45.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 20:56 BST

    Sheff Utd 0-3 Blackburn

Four changes for Sheffield United at the break - we reckon Chris Wilder might have wanted to make more.

Sydie Peck, Leo Hjelde, Tyler Bindon and Oliver Arblaster are on.

Off have come Mark McGuinness, Joe Rothwell, Jairo Riedewald and Tahith Chong.

  12. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 20:55 BST

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Sheff Wed

Boro are fuming when the referee pulls play back to award Jarvis Thornton a yellow for pulling back Adilson Malanda.

The defender had just set the ball off to a free Morgan Whittaker, who was in a great position to take a pop at goal but not to be.

Malanda makes his thoughts known and earns a caution himself for dissent.

Blackburn showing Oxford how you actually fight for survival. We deserve to go down after last night's performance against Wrexham.

  14. SECOND HALFpublished at 20:47 BST

We are starting to get back under way with tonight's Championship action.

Things at Charlton are running late but they will back before you know it for an epic conclusion.

    Charlton 1-1 Ipswich

    Well, that was lively.

Greg Docherty had Charlton in front after only 42 seconds as Ipswich struggled in the opening 15 minutes.

Ivan Azon then shot wide in front of goal before Darnell Furlong's 20-yard shot levelled things nine minutes before the break.

Charlton will be safe with this scoreline with Oxford relegated.

Ipswich need at least one more goal to regain second place.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 BST

    Birmingham 2-1 Preston

Birmingham take a 2-1 lead into the tunnel courtesy of a goal and an assist from Ibrahim Osman.

The winger found Jay Stansfield in front of the net to see Blues open the scoring before finding the net himself after the North End defenders allowed him too much sight in the box.

But the hosts failed to mark Andrew Hughes up the other end to lose their clean sheet.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 BST

    Cardiff 0-0 Port Vale

    Very even.

Port Vale will be relegated from League One unless they can find a goal in the second 45.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 BST

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Sheff Wed

Boro lead after a terrible mistake from Sheffield Wednesday defender Gabriel Otegbayo.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international sent a loose pass back his keeper and could only watch as Morgan Whittaker took advantage to send it into the net.

The visitors haven't had a shot on target yet but Middlesbrough haven't really blown them away either.

Could there be an upset on the cards?
