I would like to know what protocols were done [on Tomas Magnusson] and on what basis it was decided he was fit enough to go back on the pitch.

This is a brain injury. Concussion is damage to the brain. This is serious, serious stuff. It was clear to see he was wobbling.

It's extraordinary and I'd love to know more about it. I'm not casting any allegations, but I have a lot of questions.

    FT: Hearts 1-2 Hibernian

Hearts boss Wouter Vrancken also confirms Tomas Magnusson has gone to hospital following the head knock he suffered in the first half.

After initial treatment, it looked as though the midfielder was given the opportunity to prove he was fit enough to come back on to the pitch before looking unsteady on his feet on the sideline.

  3. 'Memories like this don't come around often' - Boylepublished at 17:44 GMT

    FT: Hearts 1-2 Hibs

Hibs goalscorer Martin Boyle tells Premier Sports: "Unbelievable first half, we were brilliant after going behind - the reaction was brilliant. I thought we deserved it. We dug in. It's a derby of course and we knew we could win the game.

"The fans deserve it. Hopefully we can enjoy a cup final and get ourselves up the league to repay them.

"It's a special feeling, I have goosebumps. To look back on memories like this, they don't come around often. You've got to create memories like that in history.

"Before the final we need to get ourselves up the league and repay the fans."

Hearts fan here. Was a typical 50/50 derby that could have gone either way. Chances for both sides in the second half. Hibs just wanted it more.

    Stuart

Last Hibs manager [Jack Ross] to lead the club to a League Cup final was sacked before that final. Hopefully that history will not be repeated.

    David

The main ingredients you need on days like these are character, grit and determination, and Hibs showed more of these on the day.

    FT: Hearts 1-2 Hibernian

Hibs midfielder Joe Newell tells Premier Sports: "It was nervy at the end, so many emotions. It's going to take a few days to digest it. What an occasion to put it together, I thought we were outstanding.

"We feel we have been going in the right direction, it wasn't ever going to be easy.

"I'd have taken four losses in a row if this was how it was going to click.

"You can't put this feeling into words, it's amazing."

    FT: Hearts 1-2 Hibernian

Hibs boss Marink Reedijk tells Premier Sports: "[The win] is more for all the guys who worked so hard across the past weeks and the fans who kept supporting. They deserve this fully.

"I like to coach [in the dugout], I like to help, that wasn't possible [with the atmosphere]. How it is at the end with the song, it's fantastic.

"What you saw in the first half is what we've already seen in the training sessions and it starts to click. We can also do the dirty work and survive in a match.

"You need this hunger and desire to stay in the game, to fight for each other, to fight for every inch.

"What we do now and what I'm very satisfied with is the guys get their reward for their hard work. It will be ups and downs, but it's the right direction again. The progress we're making is good to see."

It was a terrific game of football. Two really driven teams, both desperate for victory.

Hearts fans need to take this the right way but this is a tremendous outcome. It means there's going to be an underdog in the final.

Today, Hibs produced. They showed great spirit. I was waiting on the Hearts sucker-punch but it never came.

    John Collins
Former Hibs midfielder and manager on BBC Sportsound

There have been some tough days against Hearts in recent years, but I'm absolutely delighted sitting here listening to the fans and that magical song [Sunshine on Leith].

The manager will be delighted. They pressed well and passed the ball brilliantly. They could have had four in that first half.

Hearts were the better team in the second half but, overall, across the 90 minutes, Hibs thoroughly deserved their win. I'm delighted for the manager.
