An exasperated Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "It was a very similar type of game to last weekend at Tynecastle [another 4-0 defeat]. I don't think the scoreline is a fair reflection of our performance at all.
"The opening 15 minutes or so was very good as far as we’re concerned. The press was good at the top end of the pitch.
"We’re disappointed with how we defend the set piece [for first goal]. The delivery is excellent.
"The second goal is the one that really frustrates me, to be honest. "Don’t get me wrong, I’m disappointed in the fact that two Celtic players can run into our box unopposed, but I thought the whole point of VAR was to stop those type of incidents happening.
"There is no doubt about it, the ball strikes off the Celtic attacker’s hand and lands perfectly for his team-mate to go and tap it into the net.
"I know it wasn’t the guy who handballed it who put it into the net, but surely a bit of common sense needs to prevail there. The handball directly impacts on the goal."

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill is happy to be in the next round of the cup but not entirely satisfied despite the margin of victory.
"I thought Dundee United were in the game, they hit the post [twice] before we scored a goal," he tells BBC Scotland.
"Things like that can change the picture. Overall, I was pleased with a lot of the stuff they produced but there were moments where we were really casual.
"It's a good performance for us considering the last time we were here.
"We have two very difficult matches coming up now in terms of trying to get into the Champions League, the prestige, the finance, everything that goes along with it.
"We will try and be as ready as we possibly can. We are trying to get there, these are big, big games.
"It would be lovely to have had maybe another three games played before then, but it’s not the case. We’re ready for it, we’ll have to be.
"If the support is anything like what they gave in the split last season, it will be extraordinary."

Celtic's next mission is the first leg of their Champions League play-off at home to LASK.
The team from Linz are currently top of the Austrian Bundesliga with three wins from three.
On Friday, they beat SV Ried 4-1, so they are in good form and will have had a bit more rest.
Who stops Celtic domesticaly this season? Already look like a team on a mission. Europe midweek will be a sterner test but, after smart signings, hopefully this club can once again scale the heights in the greatest European stage.

Utterly predictable. The financial gulf between Celtic and everyone else will simply mean they'll canter to every trophy lift this season leaving the also-rans to fight for the scraps from their table.

For United, it's two successive 4-0 defeats.
Manager Jim Goodwin will be upset by aspects of his team's defensive work but the scoreline is definitely a harsh one on the balance of play.
The home side hit the woodwork on five occasions, had more shots than Celtic and earned more corners.
They started both halves strongly but were undone by clinical opponents.

Kevin Nisbet took his season's goal tally to nine
Captain Kevin Nisbet and debutant Mitchy Ntelo booked Aberdeen's place in the League Cup quarter-finals and exacted revenge on top-flight rivals Dundee for league defeat last weekend.
Nisbet's close-range finish, after efforts by Chris Cadden and Toyosi Olusanya had been repelled, and Ntelo's superb shot on the turn put the hosts in control early in the second half.
And Nisbet struck again after Ntelo dummied Tony Yogane's low cross as the Dons followed a listless 2-0 away Scottish Premiership loss to the same opponents with an emphatic cup victory.
Dundee's disappointment was compounded by a serious-looking injury to captain Simon Murray in the first half. The forward, 34, left the field on a stretcher after landing awkwardly and clutching his left knee.
Afeez Aremu, twice, and Olusanya tested Dundee goalkeeper Owen Goodman, with Olusanya also denied by the goalkeeper after going clean through in the first half.
At the other end, Murray found himself in a similar position but could not get the ball under control as Marius Muller collected, with the keeper later blocking a Joe Bevan effort.
Aberdeen started the second half brightly and never looked back, with substitute Stuart Armstrong striking against the post late on. They will discover their last-eight opponents when the draw is made on Sunday.
Ryan Finnigan tested Muller and Ethan Hamilton lifted a shot over as the Dark Blues sought consolation.
Aberdeen manager Stephen Robinson: "It was a good performance. We were in control the last 15 minutes of the first half and the second-half performance was very good. You saw the confidence grow. Everybody played their part.
"If you're a striker, you want to hit the ground running. Super finish. [Mitchy Ntelo will] certainly get better with that game. As a striker, you want to start you career at Aberdeen with a goal and he certainly has."
Dundee manager Steven Pressley: "I'm disappointed with the final outcome. The first half was a very evenly contested first half. We had three big chances within that. Coming here and creating that many good opportunities in the first half was a pleasing factor.
"At times, we caused our own problems. We had an 18-minute period at the beginning of the second half where we just lost our way. Aberdeen got in front and scored quick-fire goals. We kept going. In the end, Aberdeen deserved to win."
Dundee visit city rivals Dundee United in next Saturday's Scottish Premiership encounter (17:45 BST).
Aberdeen return to action at home to league visitors Rangers on 30 August (12:00).
