Just like last week in Chicago for Liverpool then. An impressive first half, followed by a poor second half. When it comes to squad depth, Liverpool have a problem and Andoni Iraola will know that. Ronald Araujo is coming in and expect at least one more attacking signing between now and the end of the transfer window.

Who do we think is winning the league, then?

Hard to see past Arsenal in my opinion.

The players are mingling on the pitch and a few of them are swapping shirts as Liverpool applaud their fans.

Andoni Iraola's first Anfield game as Liverpool boss ends in defeat.

That's not a good challenge at all as Oumar Konate goes in late on Wataru Endo to pick up the only booking of the game.

In their last two pre-season games, Liverpool have gone into half-time leading 2-0 and ended up losing 4-2 to Leeds and are now 3-2 down.

Perhaps shows the lack of depth in the squad?

More Liverpool changes with Lewis Koumas, Jeremie Frimpong and Dominik Szoboszlai making way for Harvey Elliott, Calvin Ramsay and Federico Chiesa.

It's a lovely reception for Elliott, who makes his Anfield return after a tough season on loan at Villa.

Illan Meslier just celebrated saving a penalty...Just to note, these penalties mean nothing as Dortmund beat Arsenal 3-2.

Arsenal lost the game, but won the penalty shootout. Take them little wins where you get them.

The tempo looks to have completely disappeared from this one at the moment.

Monaco cut through Liverpool on the counter-attack and it's Oumar Konate who goes on the outside of Wataru Endo but can't find the far corner.

Flavio Nazinho really catches hold of his first-time effort in the box but it's straight at Giorgi Mamardashvili and he's able to punch clear.
