Glasner on facing Coventry: "We'll face the same challenges like we faced and will face in every Premier League game. It's a good team with a fantastic manager. I think they played a great championship season. They had quite a tough schedule at the beginning.

"When you play your first game at the Emirates and we could see how stable Arsenal is. I think they've won every single game so far. Then they played at Manchester City. Everybody knows it's not so easy. The two teams who are unbeaten, they played.

"Then I watched the Hull game. They should have won. I don't look at the results too much. I look at their performances. Premier League is ruthless in both directions. So you need to take your chances and you should not give the opposition too many."

Nottingham Forest

Glasner on Morgan Gibbs-White: "I think he showed maximum effort, commitment and good performances. It's Thomas Tuchel's decision, I don't know what the plan is. There are many teams now with a change after the World Cup. The World Cup very often is a cut where some players are retiring, like Messi. And then some managers start to build a new team. So I don't know what Thomas Tuchel's ideas are behind the call-up. But Morgan showed good performances, he showed how important he is for us. Everything else is Thomas Tuchel's decision."

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest head coach Oliver Glasner on his style of play at Forest: "Hopefully you've started to see parts of how we want to play, but it's getting it consistent. I watched the whole game against Aston Villa back, It was good out of possession but it was maximum okay in possession. I would say below average in possession in the first half.

"Of course when you win and when you show a good performance this helps in getting more and more belief, getting more and more confidence. So that's why you can talk, you can train, but then you need the evidence and it was maybe the first clear evidence of how things can be."

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest head coach Oliver Glasner on team news: "[Nikola]Milenkovic will not be available, I think I mentioned it after the game, he will miss Coventry as well. But Jair [Cunha] trained with us today, to be honest it was a very light session, but he did some top-ups, looks okay.

"Now we have to wait for the reactions, hopefully if there is no reaction and he can train with us he is available. And all other players, that means Savona and Milankovic, all other players will be fit."

Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner has been speaking to the media ahead of hosting Midlands rivals Coventry City in Saturday's late game.

Hull City

Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic was also asked if he is enjoying silencing the doubters after the start they've made to the season: "[There] will be always some doubters. We know our way, we know our style and we will try like always to improve some things… we will see after the end of this season. We are on the good way and I hope we can continue like this."

On what he is doing to keep his players' feet firmly on ground: "In every meeting we are speaking about expectation, about that we must stay on the ground, that we know our goal - this is stay in the league no matter how many points we have because this season is a long season.

"We will see now after the international break. This is the first time we don’t have all [of the] players with us so it's important we will stay healthy. For us it's very important, some players are very important members of this squad so I hope that they stay healthy. We know our targets."

Hull City

Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic on team news: "He [Nobel Mendy] is in concussion protocol so seven days off, after this he will go to the national team. Everything is fine, he is good, this is most important. Now he will miss this game.

"We have a few more problems in some positions. [Matt] Targett two days ago twisted his ankle so he's questionable, we will see tomorrow.

"[Hidemasa] Morita is still out so the plan is he will join us after the first week of the international break."

Hull City

Newcastle will face a Hull side who have had a remarkable start to the season. Last season's Championship play-off winners are unbeaten in their opening four games, including a draw at Chelsea last time out.

Newcastle United boss Matthias Jaissle on bouncing back after falling to a hefty 4-1 defeat against Leeds United: "It is really important to show the right reaction. We are fully aligned and fully committed to showing a reaction in front of our fans. We are optimistic, even though we've had challenges with a couple of our players missing. There has been really positive communication, body language and willingness in training. We are all very committed.

"It would be nice to finish this block of fixtures, before the international break, with a good result."

Newcastle United

Newcastle United boss Matthias Jaissle on the timing of the upcoming international break: "It is better for us that we have the international break at this stage [because of our injury list]. I would've enjoyed continuing to play and improving some more, but we face it like it is. We cannot influence it."

On whether Dan Burn will return after the three-week break: "I hope so. He is working so professionally. He will be working hard to get back fit like the other lads."

Newcastle United

Newcastle United boss Matthias Jaissle started by providing an update on Anthony Elanga after his exclusion from the matchday squad last time out: "There's no real update. I've spoken with him now and he is heading for an MRI scan. We will get more clarity after that, I hope it's not too serious. It is sad after the great start he had. He is a key strength in our squad, but we want to stay positive."

On wider team news: "There are no new players coming back for the Hull City game, but we use that as an opportunity for others to come in.

"Amar Dedic will also not be able to play on Saturday. Nico Gonzalez was unlucky, but we have a responsibility to follow the league protocols so he will be missing too. Jacob Ramsey is injured.

"Hopefully our injury list is shorter after the international break."

Longer-term injury concerns Dan Burn, Will Osula and Joelinton are still sidelined.

It was one of Newcastle United's compartively shorter bus journeys home, but you suspect it did not feel that way on Monday night.

Not after a bruising 4-1 defeat against Leeds United at Elland Road.

No wonder head coach Matthias Jaissle swore in his post-match news conference to illustrate how low he felt after his first defeat.

This was a night where Newcastle's tendancy to give up chances and their failure to create enough opportunities caught up with them following a five-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

But what was most startling was how the visitors were bullied by rampant Leeds.

There will be plenty of ups and downs for this young side this season, but a response is sorely needed for the visit of in-form Hull City at the weekend.

Given the number of injuries Newcastle have at the moment - defender Dan Burn, midfielder Joelinton and forwards William Osula and Anthony Elanga are among those sidelined - it will fall to the majority of the players who floundered at Elland Road to bounce back.

We will learn a lot more about them and, indeed, Jaissle by how they react.

Newcastle United

Let's shift up north now.

Newcastle United suffered a bruising 4-1 defeat at Leeds on Monday night, and will aim to turn their fortunes around when hosting Hull on Saturday.

Brentford boss Keith Andrews on Friday's West London derby against Chelsea: "It’ll be an entertaining game. Both teams are in a pretty good place and playing some good football.

"There will be a lot of talented players on show for both sides. It’ll be an enthralling derby."

Brentford boss Keith Andrews on Kevin Schade's fine early season form which has earned him a call-up to Jurgen Klopp's first Germany squad alongside teammate Vitaly Janelt: "He's been in there before so he's used to that setup. A different manager now of course, one that's very used to the Premier league so I'm sure he'd have been very aware - him and his assistant Pep - around Kev and Vitaly, in more recent times maybe Jurgen left.

"Kev has been in a really good rhythm, a really good place in his game. He's working really hard with the coaches to improve certain parts of his game and I think we've seen that in how he's been performing."

Brentford boss Keith Andrews on the morale in his squad:

"I love this place. I say to the players all the time that we don’t realise how lucky we are.

"We have a sign above the boot room that says exactly that; how lucky are we to be at an amazing place and be part of a special, special group."

On new fan flags at The Gtech and a donation made to a supporters group by captai Nathan Collins: "It’s genuine, real and isn’t forced in any way. I was delighted when I heard what [the fans] were doing. That engagement and feeling is nice to witness when we come out. It sums up where we are as a club that our captain has made that donation."

Brentford

Brentford boss Keith Andrews on Vitaly Janelt receiving his first international call-up for Germany:

"Since I took over as head coach, I’ve loved working with him. His value to me is huge.

"He absolutely deserves it. The levels he’s produced in the toughest league in the world is pretty remarkable. It’s a really poignant moment in his career"

Brentford

Brentford boss Keith Andrews provided a fitness update on his squad after Tuesday's Carabao Cup win at Reading:

"I think it's the same, more or less the same [squad] as the other night. Yeah, so nothing really changed on that front."

This would mean Friday's game comes too soon for Mathias Jensen, while Nathan Collins and Sepp van den Berg are targeting a return after the international break.

Andrews also confirmed young forward Kaye Furo had surgery on his metatarsal on Monday: "The operation went well. He's in a good place."
