'Disappointing' Leeds have been unable to hold on to Darlow

"Thank you, Karl, for your dedicated service to Leeds. We wish you and your family the best for the future."
That is the end of the Leeds United club statement confirming the departure of goalkeeper Karl Darlow, external at the end of his Elland Road contract, with the Wales international joining Premier League rivals Manchester United on a free transfer.
And the fact the Whites haven't been able to keep hold of Darlow has left BBC Radio Leeds' Adam Pope "disappointed".
Speaking on the latest episode of Don't Go To Bed Just Yet podcast, which focused on an impending "goalkeeper crisis" at Leeds, Pope added: "He had a great season last year, so it's disappointing that's happened.
"If Leeds then don't go with Lucas Perri, then they're going to be without a senior goalkeeper as it stands, with Illan Meslier having gone to Arsenal now."
Jonny Buchan said: "Manchester United are going to offer him more money than Leeds would. He may as well sit on the bench at Old Trafford where they're fighting on multiple fronts in terms of Europe and domestic competitions."
