Barnet have signed former Crewe Alexandra defender Zac Williams on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old joined the Railwaymen youth setup at the age of six and broke into the first team in 2021.

He made 124 appearances for League Two side Crewe before spending the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock, where he played eight matches.

Williams, who is a Wales Under-21 international, was released by Crewe at the end of the season.

"After seeing the progression of the club over the last few years and the style of play that has been implemented, it suits me a lot, so it was a no-brainer for me," Williams told the Bees club website, external.

Barnet finished eighth in League Two last season, just two points outside the play-off spots, and Williams is manager Dean Brennan's first summer signing.

"For a young player, Zac's got plenty of EFL games under his belt and he's chosen to join us over other clubs, which is extremely positive," said Brennan.

"He gives us great balance down the left-hand side and in the backline and he's got a bright future with us."
