    Woakes b Robinson 5 (Sussex 204 v Warwickshire 267 & 196-8)

Wow this game has changed as Ollie Robinson strikes again. He bowls a beauty to knock over the off stump of Chris Woakes.

Three wickets for six runs now and, with Warwickshire's lead currently 259, Sussex will hope to keep their target below 270.

  2. 50 runs

    50 partnershippublished at 12:17 BST

    Glos 175 & 51-0 v Durham 605-5 dec

Much, much better from Gloucestershire as captain Cameron Bancroft and Ben Charlesworth complete a half-century stand.

Bancroft nearly holed out to a diving Graham Clark at backward point, but he is 25 not out.

The deficit is now a mere 379!

  3. Tribe cuts loose for Glamorganpublished at 12:15 BST

    Nottinghamshire v Glamorgan 32-0 - Target 478

With the pitch looking less lively than it did earlier in the match, Glamorgan have made a steady start in their huge run chase against the champions.

They're cautious at first before Asa Tribe launches into a series of boundaries to be 27 not out from just 19 balls.

The way he's going Glamorgan may win this before the close!

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12:13 BST

    Mulder c Rew b Pretorius 31 (Essex 149 & 192-7 v Somerset 348)

Migael Pretorius does the trick for Somerset as they close in on victory at Chelmsford!

The South African quick digs one in short at Wiaan Mulder, who tries to hook a ball that's too close to him and swishes it through to James Rew.

Shane Snater comes out with Essex still in the red by seven runs.

  5. wicket

WORCESTERSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 253published at 12:10 BST

    Middlesex 183 v Worcestershire 191 & 253 all out

Outstanding catch at deep long-on from Seb Morgan to end the Worcestershire second innings!

Tom Taylor tries to club one from Toby Roland-Jones and it requires an excellent catch, running and diving forward from Morgan to dismiss him.

Taylor is out for two and the Pears end 261 ahead.

Middlesex will need 262 - the highest score of the match - to open the season with successive home wins.

  6. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Old Traffordpublished at 12:09 BST

    Lancs 351 v Derbys 262-4

Luis Reece faces one ball from Jimmy Anderson before umpire Sue Redfern signals to the ground staff to get the hovercover sparked up.

We are off for a second rain break of the morning but the positive is it looks like a passing shower.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12:09 BST

    Patel c Foakes b Clark 164 (Surrey 520 v Leics 412-5)

And finally, Rishi Patel's lengthy stay in the middle is brought to an end...

Jordan Clark gets one to nip away slightly and Patel feathers it through as Surrey claim their second wicket of the morning.

What an innings by the Leicestershire opener, though - his maiden hundred in Division One and surely by no means his last.

Ben Cox comes out to join Stephen Eskinazi.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12:06 BST

    Yates c Coles b Price 90 (Warwickshire 190-7 lead Sussex by 253)

Sussex go bang, bang as Rob Yates quickly follows Kai Smith. He steers Tom Price to mid-wicket where James Coles takes a splendid catch.

Yates gone for 90 and Warwickshire's lead is still only 253.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12:06 BST

    Waite c Robson b Morgan 34 (Middlesex 183 v Worcestershire 191 & 253-9)

The second new ball claims a second wicket in its second over.

Sebastian Morgan drops it in just short of a length and Matthew Waite only manages to steer it into the hands of Sam Robson, who is very close in at gully.

The lead is 261, but the new ball looks like it offers plenty of hope to the bowlers.

Worcestershire probably slight favourites at the moment.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12:06 BST

    Andersson b Anderson 54 (Lancs 351 v Derbys 262-4)

Martin Andersson brings up his 50 with a single in the previous over, then bashes Jimmy Anderson through mid-on for a boundary to move to 54.

And there it ends as he loses his off-stump to his near namesake.

As good as his boundary was, that was a pearler from the Lancashire captain, squaring up the in-form Derbys man and straightening to tip the top of off.

  11. wicket

WICKET Smith c Simpson b Robinson 34published at 12:03 BST

    Sussex 204 v Warwickshire 267 & 190-6

Finally after an hour Sussex break through and it's Ollie Robinson who gets it. He finds the edge of Kai Smith playing a forward defensive to end a sixth wicket stand of 84.

Chris Woakes walks to the crease.

    Essex 149 & 176-6 v Somerset 348

A mini-recovery by Essex's South African pairing of Wiaan Mulder and Simon Harmer, who have added 25 so far.

Mulder has 25, with Harmer on seven - but they're now having to cope with their countryman Migael Pretorius, who is on for his first bowl of the morning and inducing a few play and misses from the batters.

Essex need 23 more to prevent an innings defeat.

  13. Postpublished at 12:01 BST

    Lancs 351 v Derbys 256-3

That is a nice over from James Anderson.

Just one run from it but a couple which whistled away from the bat edge on a Top Gun fly past.

He really is a joy to watch.

  14. wicket

    WICKET Roderick b Roland-Jones 18published at 11:56 BST

    Middlesex 183 v Worcestershire 191 & 247-8

The breakthrough this morning for Middlesex comes with the fourth ball with the new ball.

Gareth Roderick had battled hard for the previous 71 balls, but he can only look on in horror as Toby Roland-Jones produces a pea-shooter that scoots under his defence and into the stumps.

But with the Pears 255 to the good, maybe that uneven bounce will be to the liking of Tom Taylor and Olly Hannon-Dalby.

  15. 150 runs

    Surrey 520 v Leics 395-4

Great knock by the Foxes opener, who turns Sean Abbott for a couple on the legside to bring up his 150.

Patel will have one eye on his career-best 179 now as Leicestershire narrow the deficit to just 125.

  16. Postpublished at 11:56 BST

    Lancs 351 v Derbys 255-3

Tom Bailey has the new ball at the other end to Jimmy Anderson.

An interesting call and probably the right one. Mitch Stanley's pace was the other option.

His first over goes for four.

  17. new ball

Second new ballpublished at 11:50 BST

    Lancs 351 v Derbys 248-3

Jimmy Anderson is back on, takes a couple of deliveries to warm up and now takes the new ball with Martin Andersson in his sights.

Is there a sub Lancs could put in the slips called Anderson you wonder?

  18. Postpublished at 11:48 BST

    Surrey 520 v Leics 383-4

Classy off-drive by Stephen Eskinazi, who just caresses a Matt Fisher delivery to the rope as he moves on to 20.

Eskinazi has looked assured so far, with Leicestershire continuing to eat away at that deficit. Just the nine runs for Rishi Patel, who remains unbeaten on 142 at the other end.

  19. Postpublished at 11:46 BST

    Notinghamshire v Glamorgan 0-0 - Target 478

It's clearly cold at Trent Bridge. Umpire Richard Illingworth is well wrapped up again with a snood and what looks like several layers as he emerges for Glamorgan's run chase.

It'll be noisy soon as neighbours Nottingham Forest are in Premier League action this afternoon. The modern football phenomenon of a 'Fans Zone' means music will soon be blaring across the cricket ground.

Craig Overton and Jake Ball have made the early inroads Somerset had hoped for, so now it's time for Josh Shaw to have a go at dislodging these last four Essex batters.

Wiaan Mulder and Simon Harmer are holding them up for now, having nudged the home side to within 39 of making Somerset have another bat.
