Even by England's standards it's been an extraordinary first hour.

The runs have been given to Glenn Phillips, moving him into the 90s, but I think Matthew Fisher's delivery might have simply clipped the batter's helmet before flying over James Rew for four.

Jofra Archer bowled an eight over spell last night and I thought at the time, it's a lot of overs to be bowling on day one when you haven't played a lot of cricket.
We haven't seen him bowl in the first hour. England's most potent weapon is yet to bowl a ball on day two. He's out there so I've no idea why Jofra's not bowled this morning.
It's put New Zealand in a strong position.

As a Surrey member who has seen about 20 draws at The Oval in the last few years...people need to relax. England should get 600 batting Day two and three. And I expect New Zealand to bat again for days four and five.
