Secret Lincolnshire

Available for over a year

It's 1830 and an uprising among agricultural workers called the Swing Riots is taking place across the east and south of England. Amos Gilbert, a farm labourer from Bourne, becomes an unwitting accomplice in a crime committed by his brother-in-law. He is found guilty and sentenced to hang, but as Patrycja Boryka finds out, Amos' life was spared - at a heavy personal cost to him. Image: Getty.
