EshuEshu is a deity from Yoruba who plays tricks on people, and many market places have a small shrine to him for good luck.
Nigeria has the highest twin birth rate in the world and the Yoruba religion makes carvings of twins if one baby dies.
Although most Nigerians continue to hold traditional beliefs, these go hand in hand with the country’s 2 main religions, Christianity and Islam.
Churches have gigantic followings. Imagine turning up to your local church and finding 6,000 people at your Sunday service!
