Blunt response by some Nato members to Trump's call for help
Germany has stressed that the conflict had nothing to do with Nato.
Germany says the war against Iran has nothing to do with Nato and it won't join any effort to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to oil shipments, despite pressure from President Trump. Britain says it's working with allies on a plan to restore freedom of navigation but won't be drawn into the wider conflict. We speak to our UK correspondent and journalists in Germany and France.
