US military has bombed key Iranian island, President Trump says
Kharg Island is a tiny but strategic oil export terminal for Iran.
President Donald Trump says "every military target" on Iran's key oil island has been "totally obliterated", but there was no damage to oil infrastructure. Kharg Island is a tiny but strategic terminal 22 miles off the coast of Iran. The US embassy in Baghdad, the Iraqi capital, has also been hit by a missile.
