Kenya to pay compensation for several sexual violence survivors

The judge ruled that the state had violated their rights when it failed to investigate.

It has been described as a "landmark judgment" for the four women who were subjected to sexual assault in the violence that followed Kenya's disputed 2007 election.

In Zimbabwe, imported vehicles from Japan are to be checked for radiation contamination. The move is designed to protect against the Fukushima nuclear plant disaster of 2011.

And, In Ghana the main opposition party has rejected the election result, citing alleged irregularities.
