Nine die after boy picks up discarded grenade

A grenade that a child picked up from a bin on the Nigeria-Cameroon border has exploded, killing him and eight others.
Twenty-six people were also wounded in the blast on the Nigerian side of the border, a Cameroonian official said.
Opposition forces in Libya say they have taken control of the city of Sirte, in what would be a key strategic gain.
The coastal city of Sirte has been controlled by forces aligned with Libya's UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) since Islamic State (IS) militants were expelled in 2016.
