DRC opens national museum to conserve its cultural heritage

The Democratic Republic of Congo has opened a new national museum in Kinshasa to preserve the country's cultural heritage, with particular focus on artefacts in the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren, Belgium.

Three health workers fighting to curb the spread of the Ebola virus in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo have been killed and four others critically injured after an attack by armed groups in the restive Ituri province.
