Ethiopia mourns general killed in 'coup attempt'

Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed joined soldiers at a ceremony in Addis Ababa to honour General Seare Mekonnen, who was killed during an attempted coup on Saturday. From capital Addis Ababa, the BBC's Kalkidan Yibeltal gives us the details from the ceremony.

The brother of Senegal's president, Macky Sall, stepped down from his head position of a state-run savings deposit bank. It follows a BBC investigation into suspicious oil deals in the country. We hear from opposition politician Mahmadou Diallo, who says more questions are still to be answered.

The World Health Organisation together with other health bodies is vaccinating over half a million people against cholera in Somalia. And more people still need to be reached by the scheme. We speak to Dr Mutaawe Lubogo, epidemiologist and responsible for the vaccination programme.
