Mudslides and torrential rains kill at least 60 people in the city of Durban

Sixty people have died following mudslides and floods in Durban. Over the past few days, the South African city and KwaZulu-Natal province have been hit badly by torrential rains, triggering weather alarms in the wider southern African region. President Cyril Ramaphosa has also visited the affected areas in an attempt to bring relief to families who lost their loved ones and the businesses affected. Our correspondent Nomsa Maseko is covering the events from the ground. She speaks to a man who witnessed the incoming floods killing his family. And to find out about the seasonality of this weather pattern we hear from Jan Vermeulen from the SA Weather Service.
