
Sudan's army changing tactics
Sudan army say they are now ready again to "open our arms to negotiate" with civil groups
The Transitional Military Council changes strategy again. Now the army says they are willing to "open our arms to negotiate with no restriction but the national interest," in an attempt to find a solution to the stalemate in talks civilians. We hear from a senior member of the civilian-led group Forces for Freedom and Change, Muawiya Shaddad.
Officials say at least six people have been killed and 17 injured following a landslide in the Eastern Ugandan district of Bududa in the early hours of Wednesday morning. It is feared that the death toll could rise as people are still searching for their missing relatives.
Ghana's President Nana Akufo-Addo said that women are not active enough to take on decision making positions in the country. The comment, made during the Women Deliver Conference in Canada, unleashed a stream of comments from gender activists across the globe. We bring you a selection.
