Algeria's President resigns

- President of Algeria Abdelaziz Bouteflika resigns after weeks of protests demanding that he step down.

- Nigeria: Widespread condemnation today following news that Saudi Arabia yesterday has carried out four executions. One woman, a Nigerian national was executed in the city of Mecca, along with two Pakistani men and a Yemeni man.

- An audit has just been carried out in Sierra Leone with the assistance of Tanzania, Kenya and Ghanaian experts. It states that hundreds of millions of dollars hasn't been accounted for between the years 2015 and 2018.
