Weaving together magic, mythology and the past
Get to know Whitchurch-born, Crewe-based writer Carol J Forrester, whose infectious passion for folklore and history is turning in to a third published book.
Carol tells Nina Das Gupta how she grew up on a farm on the Welsh Borders with cows and sheep in the fields, a place her parents still call home!
She released her first collection over lockdown, has just released a second and a third, Stone Tongued, is on the way.
With a masters from Keele University under her belt, she's a massive adovcate for shining the spotlight on lesser known women through history through her work.
Carol can often be found around Shrewsbury, a regular performer at events in the town and also finding inspiration from the archives at Shrewsbury Museum.
