The Lemmy-channelling Stokie poet
Steven K Beattie's journey to writing began as a way out of poor mental health during the lockdown. When he's not writing, he's working in operating theatres!
When the Bradeley poet isn't blowing people away with his thought-provoking pieces, he's enjoying drives and walks in the Peak District, acting in numerous plays and rocking out in his Motorhead-esque denim vest.
He tells Susan Hanks about becoming the Stoke-on-Trent Poet Laureate for 2026-28, including a fresh slice of winter-themed poetry.
