Celebrating pioneering black musicians in British jazz

This week, ‘Round Midnight joins in on the BBC’s The Music Is Black season in collaboration with the V&A East in London. The museum’s current exhibition of the same name explores 125 years of Black music in Britain.

From Monday to Thursday, Soweto spotlights some of the many pioneering black musicians who helped to shape the course of jazz in Britain.
