This Friday, Soweto is in conversation with pioneering American jazz saxophonist and bandleader Gary Bartz. A custodian of the music, he has worked with fellow greats including Art Blakey, Miles Davis, Max Roach and Abbey Lincoln, and McCoy Tyner, and is an influential bandleader in his own right, notably with his NTU Troop. In their conversation, Soweto and Gary discuss everything from his early influences and working with Miles to new directions.
